Angels “R” Us                          by Elaine J. Watkins

Announcing Auditions for ANGELS “R” Us a family-friendly play for the holiday season. The story is set in the main office (on cloud #4) of Guardian Central, where Angels receive their daily missions to watch over those on earth in need of protection.  It takes all types of Angels to man the office:  the meek desk angels and the brave guardians protecting everyone from race car drivers to mountain climbers.  Everything is running smoothly until a promotion upsets the delicate balance and the new supervisor gets angels all mixed up.  A sweet, funny story well suited to the whole family!

Auditions:  Saturday, October 8th at 1:00 p.m. and Sunday, December 9th at 6:00 p.m.  Roles for all ages including the very young as well as adults will bring this sweet and funny story to life.  A great way for the whole family to be involved in a show together.  Auditioning has options for improvisation, short readings and those interested may sing 16 bars of any seasonal song.

Four performances:  Thursday, December 15th through Saturday, December 17th at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, December 18th at 2:30 p.m.

Macon Little Theatre is proud to partner with The Academy of the Performing Arts to produce two amazing productions for children interested in acting per theatrical season.  Under the direction of Academy director, Sylvia Haynie, students have a unique experience of rehearsing and performing on a stage for live audiences.  Our holiday production rehearses along side our December musical, and culminates in a weekend of performances in front of live audiences.

The second MLT Kids production is our summer camp program.  Our junior kids camp is a one week production which has availability for students age 5-12, and culminates in one performance for family and friends.  Our Summer Production camp is a two week rehearsal process for students age 9 to 19, and concludes with a weekend of performances on our stage.

My student turns 5 in July, can they still register?

Unfortunately, No.  Students must be the minimum camp age as of the first day of camp to participate.

Can I attend morning camp in week 1 and production camp in week 2?

No.  Morning camp is a totally separate experience and will not be rehearsing the material for production camp.

Does the morning camp perform the full production?

No.  Morning camp is a learning experience for our younger actors to prepare them for skills needed in future performances.  However, these students do have a performance showcase at the end of the first week of camp!

How much is camp?

For summer of 2022:
The Morning Camp for ages 5-12 is $115 (which includes a t-shirt).  The Production camp for ages 9-19 is $165 (which includes a t-shirt).
